This isn't the first video we've seen of a firearm attached to a consumer-grade drone, but it is the most convincing. The 14-second clip, uploaded to YouTube last Friday, claims to show a "homemade multirotor with a semiautomatic handgun mounted on it." The drone fires four times, with the recoil from each shot pushing it backwards in the air.

A gun mounted to a drone isn't what scares me.

Nope, it's laughable. If someone wants to shoot you, it won't be with a drone.

I'm okay with drones....but I think that I should have exclusive rights to the first 500' of airspace over my property.

More concerned with a drone carrying a pipe bomb or something over a stadium or major public event than I am with one aiming and firing any kind of gun.

I have never thought about that.

This is what I have imagined I would do if I saw a drone hovering around my house. Good to know it works

We've been using drones to kill people for a while now. Nothing new to see here.

I don't understand why someone would post a video of an armed drone. They want to prove they're a badass. You better believe some tougher laws against drones will be on the books.

A drone has the right to defend itself from all the rednecks that try to shoot them down.

Yeah but we call them drones now so it's scary

Exactly

Some people don't realize that hobbyists have been flying and dropping fake bombs from remote controlled planes that fly well over 200 mph since the 80's.

The army used remote controlled planes for live fire training as far back as WW2

This literally changes nothing.

How long have we had satellites? We're still interested in them taking pictures of Pluto.
