Any of you with knowledge of a good place for watch repair. It’s a real Swiss movement in a German watch. But it’s just an ETA movement. Nothing crazy but it has a GMT function.

Bump to add. Not just a service, it has stopped running. It may be just a service but who knows.

Where are you located? If you are in Katy there are a metric butt ton of watchmakers in Houston.

i need my glass resurfaced/replaced... in BR... would love to switch it out for a sapphire crystal, but unsure of how expensive that would be and if it's even doable

Have had good experiences with the Clock & Watch Shop on Gravier. Just takes a long time for repair.

Yes Katy/West Houston.
I called zadoks but they said they do not service my watch (Sinn).

It’s a long way from you but the Watch Hospital in Spring (1960 near Champions) is outstanding

The only authorized service center for Sinn in the US is Watch Repairs USA in Schaumburg, IL. Any professional watchmaker can service the ETA but some may be reluctant to open a Sinn because they can't get Sinn parts. You certainly can find someone in Houston that will work on it but it might be easier to just us Watch Repairs USA.

What about an omega seamaster? In Baton Rouge area. Needs to be serviced and the screw that adjusts time and date won't screw all the way in. Just spins and spins.

I would take it to Watch Repair on Florida. (notice a trend of wholly uninspired watch repair place names?)
It may need a crown, which they may or may not be able to source. It is worth a shot to keep it local.

Check Mr C in houston. He's a crazy old bastard and is slow AF but does good work. He's the only person i've used locally besides Zadok for my wife's Cartiers.

I sent of a couple of older watches to WatchCheck (watchcheck.com) they were about $350 each for the complete service and one wasn't running. Overall I was pleased with the work and the watches are still going strong, got them back in about 45 days, shorter than the 60 day turnaround quote. Much cheaper than going through the retailer.
Found out afterwards that WatchCheck is just the digital front that uses for Stoll&Co. as the service provider in Dayton, Ohio. You can just go to Stoll& Co. at www.americaswatchmaker.com if you want to deal directly with them for service.

As an aside they are the company that handles the work for eBay's watch authentication service.

I can’t find anyone to get my Movado to work so now I just buy $30 watches from Amazon and I love them
