I have a couple of old pocketwatches I would like to get appraisals on. One is a Girard Perregaux and the other is a Frodsham & Baker. I know the latter is from 1855-1864 as that was the only years that company used that name. I don't know much about the other one, other than the prices their stuff currently sells for. Can anyone recommend a jewelry/watch store in the BR area that is good with appraisals?

When you get it appraised, ask them also what they will buy it for. That is what it is worth. An individual buyer may pay more but you have to find them.

You need to check on r/watches ... lots of good knowledgeable horologists there.

Some jewelry stores will appraise the value - we needed it in writing for a insurance rider we were purchasing

Anton's on Coursey is a Authorized Rolex Dealer (so is Lee Michael's) and I have had good luck with their appraisals. Call them and tell them what you have then ask if they feel comfortable doing the appraisal or if they could recommend someone. If they don't feel confident with those models, they will tell you.
