Has anyone else's wastewater bill skyrocketed?

I received a letter today that my bill will be going from $16 per month to $55 per month.

This is only wastewater. My water bill usually runs about $35 for two months but that is a completely separate bill and different company than my WW bill.

Mine went up 300% when the old company sold out. Who is it from? Is it not water too?

Yes. I also noticed their employees are driving brand new city trucks, and they’re building a brand new unnecessary office.

That’s a bargain seriously. Try New Orleans. Waste water bills are typically double the water bill or more. Most systems haven’t been charging enough for years. Look at your Cable bill. Politicians hate to raise water and sewer bills. These bills in a lot of cases don’t recover the true costs.

Big Money Tip! If you want to save the $55/month you could always collect and treat your own waste water

I tried. They don’t let you. You are forced to pay it and if you dint pay, they get the water company to turn the water off. Even though it’s a completely different company.

Wastewater bills should have had a steady increase over time but no politician wants to do it. Instead they get real behind with need then have to jump up all at once.

Hickok is kidding. You can’t treat your own wastewater for $55 a month unless you live on 10 acres or so and don’t have many neighbors.

$16 is absurd, sounds like zero maintenance was being done
