Nurses do nothing important other than what the doctor, who had 8 plus years of Medical training/education, tells them to do.

How do you think the doctor....who sees that patient maybe 15 minutes during the day at the hospital even knows what the frick is going on with their patient for the other 23 hours and 45 minutes???
Does the doctor tell me when a patient is starting to be in severe respiratory distress and then tell me to start bagging the kid?

No.
Very rare to have multiple surgeons in a room. Most first assist are practitioners or PAs. On occasion a Surgeon may call for another Surgeon to assist bit that is only in severe situations most likely. Just because there are a ton of people in your room in green scrubs doesn't mean they are all doctors...

Nurses are the single moms of the medical world. For whatever reason we are expected to glorify them and treat them as if they are MD’s.

I don't think any nurse expects that. At least I don't.
I know I'm not an MD. But when you have idiots like the ones in here saying that nurses only do what the doctors tell them to...well that proves the point that nurses still aren't getting the basic respect they deserve for what they do contribute.
