It was arguably the most fortuitously placed plane during the war, not sure about importance though.

ETA: You mean Strawberry 9 as in the scout plane during the Battle of Midway, correct?

If its what I think he is talking about and not something random or weird, I believe Strawberry 9 was the plane that spotted the Japanese navy in the Battle of Midway. Which is widely considered the a major turning point in the Pacific war

Air Force One is simply a call sign of whatever aircraft the POTUS is on. There have been dozens of Air Force Ones, so that would be hard to make any one of them most important.
