You mean Louisiana is actually spending money on roads?
They’ve been doing it for years. We just have nothing to show for it.

I had to tell you but mobile had been a shite show this week. And yes flying will solve that problem, so if you have a king air or better you are good. I just know that typically on Thursday and Friday afternoons the traffic is backed up from the tunnel to almost the state line and sometimes worse. Mobile has added a big road construction projection to make it more fun.
This year the bama stretch will be the least of your worries. But don’t worry we will leave you a few snapper on the wrecks

I lived in Texas from 1997-2001. Those areas have at least been under construction since that time.
I was going to say the same. Those areas have always been under construction. It will be glorious if they ever finish.

I hate the beach, when I hook up to my camper I’m heading North. Screw the traffic, already have to put up with it enough going to work. 1.5-2 hrs going home in the afternoons to go just 14 miles.

Step 1. Use google maps on your phone.
Step 2. Check traffic.
Step 3. Choose alternate route if needed.

To be fair we, meaning Mississippi, only have about 80 Miles of 10 and a lot of that is 6 lanes so Mississippi I10 is pretty clear most of the time.

This is traveling west to Texas from Florida or east to Florida from Texas?
Or both?? Haha, we leave from Texas to Florida in a week. Plan to stop in Louisiana for a night and finish the rest early next morning...I like to get to the mobile tunnel before 10am!

I flew into Destin the last time we went. Landed at the Destin airport, got straight into a rental car and drove 2 miles to the beach. Traffic didn't seem that bad to me....
