If you go with reflective material on the floor and walls then you are going to have to put wall treatments and area carpets in to absorb some sound. If you don't do this you'll have a harsh sounding and echoing room.

Go to the music board, look at the audiophile/vinyl thread. Marco Esquandolas just installed a sound room in his house. Guy is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful.

Yes The padding underneath is what will really help more so than the carpet

Ok, technically there are 2 windows (dormers) that do nothing up there but I can put an access to get to them if I have to.

The sound waves are gonna continuously bounce off of the walls and floor. Get some foam or soundboard
