Not really man
So you put out a bowl of candy towards the end of trick or treating time for the neighborhood kids to all get a few pieces and share, then some kids from a neighborhood 5 miles away, have their mom drop them off if the front of the neighborhood come up to your porch and decide to take the whole bowl, when there is a sign that clearly ask to only take a few pieces and leave some candy for the rest, but instead the Ring Doorbell catches them reading the note, then laughing, but continues to steal all the candy instead?
You and PRIDE87 are okay with that?
Pride since you would much rather your house notnbe toilet paper rolled vs your candy stolen, what if you put a sign out asking them to not roll your house but they did anyway.
What would be your reaction be since your feel so strongly about this?

I feel pretty confident people already know I don’t want them to trespass on my property throw toilet paper in my trees
But if I had the choice, I would rather people take my Halloween candy that I already planned on giving out.
Seems like a no brainer really
But neither would have me ranting on Facebook like a lunatic. They are both pretty harmless childish activity

Whatever works for your narrative. But the little shits should not have taken all the candy.
It’s like a truck load of humanitarian aid left on the side of the road in the Congo, I suppose. The fault of it all missing is squarely with the person who left it.
Jesus christ. There is so much overreaction going on about the kids taking candy. OMG some black kids took more than one piece of candy.. They are horrible.
If you put out candy with no supervision and put a sign up that reads "take one piece of candy" during trick or treat, it is pretty much a given there will be kids who take more than one piece.
If there is a group of kids, there will always be that one who will try to show off and do something like... take a handful.. Its fricking halloween candy.
If those kids didn't take it there would have been some other kids who would have come along and take it.
Everyone should know you don't put out candy unsupervised because there will be kids who take more than they should. White kids, black kids.. It will happen.
This is halloween candy. Maybe I just had a bunch of badass kids in my neighborhood growing up, but it was pretty much expected if someone left out candy unsupervised, there was a good chance kids would take a handful or at some point some kid will take it all....

I'm not going to call them piece or shite thugs much less turn it into a racially charged Facebook post.

Facebook has destroyed us. Instagram has made teenagers depressed. Twitter causes more ADHD.
Its like a gun. Its a tool for people to use, its just that the idiots give it a bad rap.

He doesn't use the word "Halloween" either but something tells me you figured that one out from context.

Why because your kid is 3 years old? What about when he’s in middle or high school? Then what are you going to do Mr. Stay off my Lawn? You think you’re going to keep those little thugs from John Curtis off your lawn. I bet you’re going to be a really cool dad.

Trash breeds trash. I’m not surprised.

Some kids stole from some dude and he blew a little steam off about it. No big deal, move on.
Move on? We can't waste a good opportunity to be butthurt!!! We have to use every chance possible to show we are victims.
Most of the people bitching weren't involved in any way.

Sorry I didn't read the entire thread looking for the 1 piece of anecdotal evidence of white teenagers to justify 5 and 7 year olds acting like hoodlums. Where were the parents?
The kids were wrong. They are for Christ’s sake. It’s a bowl of candy. I don’t think it’s a big deal. I certainly don’t think it means they’re going to be violent criminals, shot and killed, and their grandmother wearing an airbrush T-shirt to their funeral. We don’t know where the parents were. Most parents stand in the street when their kids go up to door steps. They were a bit older than 5 to 7. More like 8 to 10. Kids of all races have been taking more than one candy from a bowl that has been left out since trick-or-treating started. But for some reason half of the posts in this thread is behind this man and his racist views.

Apparently the SJW way is to destroy a productive citizens business and livelihood. They don’t get how many people will be negatively affected if these restaurants close. Not because they were particularly good, but people’s jobs are on the line.
It’s a ridiculous overreaction to what amounts to nothing really. A man got pissed at some kids taking all the candy and being trashy.
Seems like there could be a better solution than costing a lot of people income, especially right before the holidays.
Screw This corporate culture that overreacts and kowtows to the SJW mob

Imagine being this upset about kids taking more candy than they're supposed to
Kids are fricking stupid. Immature, annoying, ignorant. Especially when they're around their friends. When I was a kid in Slidell (Yes, I know, trash central) in the 90s kids would pull shite like this all the time, including me and my brother. I'm not proud of it. But I also didn't grow up to be a gangbanger

Would you want someone running one of your franchises who goes off the handle on kids taking Halloween candy, causing him to run to social media and having a ridiculous diatribe about future criminal activity and murder?
Regardless of any public reaction, I would have let that guy go

It's unfortunate but the solution is to stay off of social media. At least the ones where you typically post under your real name.

Oh, I think it was stupid for a business owner to publicly rant like that knowing the cancel culture we have today. But it isn’t a crime to be annoyed by shithead kids and the bad home training that raises them.
But threatening people’s livelihoods is a gross overreaction to a minor overreaction.

I hate this part of what these idiots do. We need more people gainfully employed. We do not need to ruin people's lives and livelihood.
He is a dumb arse for what he did. Everybody knows better than to put anything that could be used, misconstrued, or quoted on FB. People have the right to agree with him or call him a dick, but then move on.

Can he run the business fairly well? I’d be more concerned about long term profits than some flash in the pan SJW outrage that will be forgotten in a week.
I saw posts by people trying to find any business he is involved with and trying to boycott/shut down those too.
They don’t realize that if he is business savvy enough he’ll recover, but the workers might not be able to weather the storm so easily.
It’s just a shite situation and why business owners shouldn’t use social media for anything other than business promotion
