First, I do not understand what is so difficult about driving a roundabout.

Second the media does this story and claims that the roundabout is a nightmare for residence. I read the story on Facebook and clearly the comments show that most people do not have an issue with it. LINK

So what is the purpose of the media creating a false narrative about a roundabout? Does the reporter not like it and not know how to drive or are they lazy, stupid or both?

The old lady that got hit is a typical boomer.

Doesn't understand it, got in an unfortunate wreck, and now wants to take it away from everyone despite overwhelming evidence that it is working.

I talked to a Walker cop and they average one accident a day in the roundabout.

I learned the other day that my wife has no idea how to use a roundabout. We have on in our neighborhood and go through multiple ones in central when going out to their land. I wonder how many accidents she has caused

a news segment on a roundabout being well received isn't as exciting

Livingston Parish people just can't wrap their heads around roundabouts. They're objectively better in every way but the LP just can't use them.

So they had no accidents on Walker South prior to the roundabout, yet traffic was backed up on the interstate ramp every afternoon blocking I-12.

The problem isn't the roundabouts, it's people.

The media have become nothing but shite-stirring contrarians.

They could have 4 people protesting it and they'd cover the scene like it was a major event.

I think roundabouts aren't that bad but I will admit that the first time I went through that interchange I was a little hesitant.

Growing up here hwy 42 was one of the most dangerous roads in the state for many years. Multiple deaths over the decades. I'm glad they finally doing something about 42. If people can't handle a simple J-turn; then frick em!

This is what the media does everyday. They used to report news, but now they create it.
