I do as instructed when I get there, and the lady at the window has no clue what I'm doing. She says she doesn't know what the confirmation number is for.
I just got a mental picture of some baw rolling up to Walgreens holding numbers on a printed out page on his window that's rolled up.

She was probably like wtf is this crazy guy holding up these numbers for? What a weirdo!

Sounds like you went to the wrong store. I did this and it was pretty streamlined

No kidding, it was easy as can be where I went.

And I had to enter all my info when I signed up. Name, contact detail, insurance info, etc.

I had to do the self-test back before Thanksgiving due to close contact and went to the CVS in the town directly SSE of mine(the one here had no slots open) and had no issues.

I then took the rapid test the next day.

Both negative.

Since we are sharing anecdotal stories, I know someone who's FIL is an MD. He says the rapid tests are 50% accurate at best. And the false results go both ways. The person I know tested NEG twice. In this timeframe, his wife and 4 year old daughter were POS (only wife had mild symptoms). All were in close contact and carried on as normal through it all. He got tested because his wife had the sniffles and ran to the Doc, tested POS, then made everyone get tested. He felt crappy for a couple of days, never ran a fever, had a little congestion, and moved on. No way he did not actually have it, or maybe his wife never did, and it was a false POS for her, and they had a 48 hour bug like we all get from time to time.
IOW, if this had not been a tool to control people and influence an election, it would not even be a big national news story at this point.
frick this crono bullshite.
