I feel same way as op. 28 stock broker. bring chicks in on the reg but it's nothing more than sex. just feel like I have no purpose, or I haven't found my purpose. Def sucks but you get used to it at some point

Well then there's hope for me yet.
I've still got a lot of pruning to do.
Stuff sloughed off when I developed passions for other things. I was more fearful of what I was missing for years than enjoying what I was doing. That in part contributed to my drinking problem.
Still wish I could live a thousand years and do it all though. Just not as uptight about it.

I can certainly relate to that.

Felt the same way for a little bit. At 30, I thought I'd be married with a kid or two, nice house, plenty of toys, and making good money. None of that stuff happened. Only thing I ever want to do now is be better than everyone else at everything. Now, my long term goals consist of two things, getting another degree and getting a job. Other than that, I go day by day. Sounds like you need to do a little of the same.

Anybody else feel this way?
I'm in college so yes, yes I know this feeling. I ask my self daily, "The frick am I doing?"

They live meaningless lives.
They waste their precious days over nothing.
No matter how old they get, they'll continue to say
"My life hasn't started yet."
"The real me is still asleep. That's why my life is garbage."
They continue to tell themselves that.
And they age.
And on their deathbeds, they finally realize.
The life they lived was the real thing.

That's a good one. I recently read "stop living to please others" and I love it; It's the truth.

Thread title making me think of that scene from Scrubs

It reminds me of the scene in fight club where Tyler talks about his conversations with his dad. I graduated high school, what do I do now? Go to college. Ok I graduated college, what do I do now? Get a job. Ok I have a job and I have some money, what do I do now? Get married of course. Ok, married now what? you're done bro that's life. Wait that was it, why doesn't it feel like it was supposed to? The great myth is that older people have it all figured out and you will too someday.

You sound like the type who will never be satisfied. Get over yourself. If you have a roof over your head, friends who love you, food on the table and a J O B you should be happy and Thankful.

Stop waiting on your life to begin or before you know it you'll look around and it will be half over.
