You know cops DO get meal breaks while on shift, right? You just call in your break and need to be available if a call comes in before you are done eating.

Waffle House is on the bottom rung of the restaurant ladder and if you are going there, you tend to be there because you want cheap food, breakfast food at odd times, or it is the only place open.
as someone who travels a good bit across the south, I'm going to disagree with this one.
Waffle House is by far the most consistent. You know EXACTLY what you're going to get.
they aren't great by any means.
but I've never actually had terrible food there either.
it's always just kinda "is"
and that's no matter what shithole town or state you're in.
they're all exactly the same and at pretty much the same price.

So the savings in cost vs hiring a guard comes from the taxpayers then, right?
No. They're present at lunch break.
The issue is if its an open order for free food, you will serve more free cop meals in a night than you will paying customers.

I don't like your attitude, you come off as an arse. Whenever I spend too much time talking with people like you, I inevitably end up lowering myself to your standards of decency and behavior. The only way to avoid it is AI assisted replies in verse, and I ain't got time to do that for you. Just Roger. So please disregard my future comments, and I will do likewise for you.

No, he hasn’t. Just because he has been told something doesn’t mean it has gone inside his fat head.

You idiots don’t even see what you are doing.
But in the same vein, Chipotle robots may soon construct your salads and bowls.

the cop is already on duty and already getting paid.
there is no additional cost.
just instead of him going to a gas staton to buy a meat pie, I'd give him a couple eggs and bacon

Yea I wouldn't address my points either.

Hes been educated, its up to him to accept it.
Its kind of ironic that he's anti tipping, the only thing he controls that can help these poor underprivileged workers.
If Democrats tipped like they want employers to pay, no restaurant workers would be poor.

Yea and he isnt there for your security. Giving a cop a free meal and having him there for 15 minutes isnt 'security'.

Cop cars in the parking lot have shown to be safer times. They do this with retail quite often.

That makes sense. But wouldn't that mean the cost difference is coming out of their end, then? They're still required to perform their job to protect the public while on that break, Vs taking the break back at headquarters or at their homes.

Thats not what we are talking about. We were talking about 24 hour security as in detail cops working.
His solution was to just give a cop on the city's clock a free meal and he can be the security.
The idea was completely ridiculous but it was an 'easy fix' per him.

I never thought I'd say it, but what you said.
And if they used robots who would be there to enjoy the customers' juke box selections?

Sounds like you misunderstood him pretty badly.
