I had Waffle House this morning and it was very solid. The place was packed and they were rolling. Two cooks, two washing dishes and checking people out, 4 servers, all were hustling and all were sweet to everyone.
I go to the one closet to me at least every other Friday. I know all the waitresses by name.

Self inflicted, I would like to sit with you and go over your self inflicted, porn, alcohol, work, food, or drug addictions you go to to avoid the pain. We all have them.

Since the 80s, there has always been a "Waffle House" song on the juke box.
The employees would get pissed when we played it 5 times in a row.

I love Waffle House. How can you not like some smothered and covered? There's nothing on that menu that I would send back if my order was messed up. Nothing on there is bad.

I hunt outside of a small town in mid-State Mississippi that is majority black, and one of the poorest counties in one of the poorest states. The black folks I interact with there couldn’t be any nicer, more helpful, polite (always exchange pleasantries), a stark contrast to the average encounters in a big city.

I love everything about Waffle House. If the cook isn’t outside smoking when I pull up, I don’t even want it. It’s consistently good each and every time. The bacon egg and cheese grits bowl is a hidden gem.

You’d have a hard time getting me away from my loaded hash browns. Had to lol about the cigarette comment, regardless of the cook is male of female, that’s a sure sign you’re going to have a good meal.

99/100 waffle house experiences are wonderful.

I live in Covington, Georgia. Newton County. County population 112,000 according to Google.
We have 6 Waffle Houses in Newton County alone.
Every now and then....you gotta have 'em.

there are 6 waffle houses within 10 minutes of my house. The closest one is just a few years old and doesn’t have the funk baked in to the griddles yet, but it’s getting there. That’s one is our go to for “it’s late and I don’t feel like cooking”
Texas sausage cheese melt
plain hashbrowns
pecan waffle
black coffee

I like the grilled chicken and eggs. Eggs over easy. I like my hasbrowns plain with a touch of catsup.
And keep the coffee coming

it's hard to beat the All American after a night of drinking, or anytime really.

what's the WH term for a "rare"(?) omelette? i.e. very loosely set.

I really need to get my eyes checked. At first glance, I thouoght I was clicking on a link about a White House experience.
Instead I got some tales from a Waffle House in BFE, Mississippi.

Gotta get “the sauce”. It’s not on the menu.

We ate at one of the local waffle houses so much in high school that we got xmas cards from our waitresses. We also could roll up in the middle of spring break, walk past the line of people outside waiting to get in and sit down at a booth that had just been cleared for us. Nearly got into a LOT of fights like that.
My current WH is awesome. Great staff, 3 100 health scores in a row.
No one should ever disparage this great American institution.

Did you see the packet? It is made by Heinz. If you buy from them you are supporting this man who married into the Heinz fortune.
Not only that he flies across the globe advocating reducing carbon footprints while flying in a private jet.
