PA, does it really matter? I don't expect someone who tells me about the weather to dress like a CEO. And I doubt he cares what everyone else around the country does.

It was live unusual coverage going from 6 am to 11:30 pm at night. It's not like it was the usual 5 pm news. He never wears jeans on a normal broadcast.
