Yeah......I've never seen one list with Volvo at the top. In fact, they are typically in the "less reliable" end of the list. Not sure where you are seeing that they are known as the "most reliable". I see Lexus in that spot pretty much everywhere.

10.5 in ground clearance is impressive in a crossover. 5000lb towing too. Mpg not terrible. Based on those specs I'd consider buying a slightly used one in the 40s, assuming its reliability record is solid in a couple years.

Infiniti QX60. Doesn't look as good from the outside as the xc90, but it's grown on me (and it's her vehicle anyway). Has a lot of the features that come in the xc90, but a much lower price (at least what we got). For the 3rd row and technology options, you were looking at 55k at least in the xc90. MSRP on the Infiniti was 51.5 and we got it much lower than that.

Infiniti exteriors have gone downhill but their interiors are some of the nicest and most comfortable I have ever seen.

We "downsized" from a Tahoe. It has more interior leg room in all 3 rows than the Tahoe, plus, when the 3rd row is actually up, it has more cargo room behind the 3rd seat. Blows my mind how inefficient the Tahoe was with space. Plus the 2nd row seats can move to split the leg room with the back, and they recline. All on much more comfortable seats. Only thing it lacks is towing capability, but I sold my boat a few years back and didn't need that anymore.

My neighbor has the QX-80 and I think the outside is ugly but my word I could live inside it. So spacious and comfortable. Everything about it is quality.

IWBI, but for $60k there are other vehicles I'd want more.

Thought the same exact thing. Never planned on looking at one, but it happened to be parked next to the car we bought in the showroom. Kept making fun at how ugly it was. Then while waiting for a salesman to go do something, we opened the doors and looked around. Very impressive inside. Almost enough for me to get over that exterior. The QX60 is the only one I could tolerate. The cars don't bother me at all, but the SUV's aren't exactly my taste.

Honestly, I think the XC90 is one of the best looking SUV's out there. Just heard too many stories, and they are a bit overpriced.

No, I would not spend 60k on an unreliable knockoff Audi crossover.

I can't believe how many of those are still on the road down there, kind of like Cuba except it's just the Fairlane
