Why would anyone do volunteer work in North Baton Rouge? They don't care about their community.. Why should anyone else?

That's no excuse. There are plenty of people of the paler persuasion who won't go work there because it's just not worth the risk.
There was at least one worker who was killed in NBR in the past year. I think he was heating and air guy, but I'm not sure.

I don’t live in BR and never would. If I have to travel into or through BR I have the Smith and Wesson locked and loaded with hollow points.

Nothing unsafe about south Baton Rouge. Stay away from NBR and you’ll be fine

New Orleans is a different story. You have to be on guard everywhere
