Don Draper might be proud but my Pappy would not be cool with that commercial.... and a '62 dark blue bug was my first car. Paid $250 for it in '67.
Oil filter could be a roll of toilet paper in a pinch. 4 speed manual, no air, no radio. Bought it used from Gibbs Volkswagen on Blossom across from where the old Carolina Coliseum is now .... it was under construction at the time and has since been retired.
