doing nothing. Figured I would take up his time and save some of my neighbors some aggravation.

Same strategy I use with telemarketers sometimes

I've learned from these threads that a lot of posters have no idea how to say no and close their door. People act as if someone selling things door to door are a huge pain and impossible to get rid of

Lol.

They're from the local homeless shelter, which evidently is out of soap.

They are casing your house is what they are doing. Don't even open the door.

I'd never heard of this company til 3 weeks ago when an agent knocked on our door. It was a cute little perky girl. Based on prior threads on this company I now realize I should've beat the frick out of her bc that's what tough guys do to salesmen.

I've had Vivint for about 2 years. It is awesome. No salesman came by. I just called them and arranged for the install. Very easy. I would highly recommend them. I have another friend who uses them and doesn't have any issues.

i didn't and almost paid for it dearly when we sold our house, due to not knowing the contract was for 5 years

Did you not read the paperwork before you signed?

They wanted a five year contract and I told them I would do no more than three. Got a special contract for three years.

Great system, FTR.

If you are talking about me because I happen to have had a good experience, chill. If you don't want I use them, don't.

Just messin with you.

Some people have had good experiences with them, no doubt.

It seems the majority, especially on the sales side, have been pretty bad.
The crew they had in our neighborhood were pretty sketchy and annoying.

door to door security alarm company... use some pretty nefarious tactics to make a sale... good security system, with decent tech features, but their salesmen outright lie and omit important things to make a sale.....
