Catalina Island is fun. On Saturday nights there is usually one famous comedian that will do a late show at the Laugh Factory on Sunset.
The turnover of restaurants and the hip hotels is too quick, so I can't offer much else.
Hyde Lounge was still cool when I lived there, highly doubt it now.
