First time I ever went was when I was 14. We stole my aunt’s car and drove from Eastover. Chick danced her way in front of us, and I had about $2’s in quarters. She squat down in front of me and I was shoving the roll of them I had clenched in my fingers by her b hole. She stood up and I dropped them.
It felt like you could hear the sound of the change hitting the bar over everything else.
I think I turned red. That was the first of many strippers to shoot me down.

I rebuilt that Visions after Katrina and that guy didn’t give a shite what it cost. Fix it now and half up front and cash each Friday. A bloody fortune. That guy had his whores in Atlanta and Memphis and wanted them back as soon as he could. He knew what commerce was coming.

my distant family owns that hardware store about a block down
also... there's a regular dance school... for kids teaching them ballet and tap and jazz dance... practically across the street from Visions & Passions too
