Chicago does this in about two hours on a Friday night.......
Chicago has a lot of murder but also a much larger population. I think the murder rate is higher in Nola and BR.
It’s much higher. Just for comparison, for this to be equivalent population-adjusted, Chicago would have to have about 30 murders and 100 shot in a weekend. Chicago has never had a 48 hours anything quite like that.

So weird, because in the LGD, a little over a mile from the Super Dome, it was quiet all weekend. Except for my drunk neighbors. But no audible gun shots.

Are you on the river side of St. Charles? That area has gotten much better since Katrina.

While Chicago was roiled by another day of protests and looting in the wake of George Floyd’s murder, 18 people were killed Sunday, May 31, making it the single most violent day in Chicago in six decades, according to the University of Chicago Crime Lab. The lab’s data doesn’t go back further than 1961.

The Riverside area is much much better except for one small section of the Irish Channel but the west side of St. Charles Avenue to Simon Bolivar has also changed with rapid speed in getting better as well.
There are some dump small apartment complexes that won't be there in five/ten years which will make the gentrification move all the way to Claiborne.

I told Latoya to put Gen. Lee in jail, he was a loose cannon, and would kill someone

Those white officers were busy shooting all these people this weekend.

Its almost as if the black on black shootings are way more of an issue than police brutality.

Affirmative. Currently one of the best locations in the city.
