Capitol City Records on Perkins near Lee is by far the best record store in Baton Rouge. Don't waste your time going anywhere else. Dude still gets new vinyl for relevant contemporary artists to go along with tons of classics. He also has lots of used vinyl for great prices.

Theres supposed to be a records shop on Coursey now, between Stumberg & Jones Creek

Where the old CD shop was? You could always count on your stolen CDs showing up in the binder over there...

She pays a lot for records. Kerry will pay $10 for a record and price it for $20 or $25. Some other places will pay $3 for the same record and price it for $15.

This makes very little sense. You saying she overpays for used records or new records? Either way, not wise.

Capitol Records is far better than Pop. Not even close. I have found much better stuff at better prices. Dana knows the business and is a former show promoter of some kind. He has some cool stories about bands like My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult and other Wax Trax folks.

The place on Coursey is Classic Vinyl. Further toward Jones Creek. They're a little pricey for, shall we say, an unsophisticated inventory. Capital records is light years better. There used to be vinyl at Grand Cinema (porn shop) on Florida Blvd. Haven't been there in a long time though.

The Exchange on Government near Foster is where I go. Good prices, and if you’re looking for something in particular, the guy who runs it will email you if it comes in. You can even sell to him.

Thanks for this. I have a ton of my late step dad's vinyl from the 50/60/70's all mint. Been looking for a good place to value them.

I like Victor at Exchange but I'm not real fond of his policy of most records not having any prices on them and him assigning prices on the fly. Might be a few dollar swing depending on his mood or how business has been lately. frick that. Just price the damn product.

Kerry doesn’t own it any more. She sold out over a year ago.

As others have said, Dana over at Capital City runs a great shop.

Atomic Pop Shop in Mid City right off Government.

ETA: Other are saying Capital is better. I’ve never been so, I can’t compare.

You can also list them and sell them to people through the app. Like an ebay store, works with PayPal and etc.
