I didn't realize those 45 year-old photos of Jane Fonda on the North Vietnamese antiaircraft gun were photoshopped. Imagine my surprise that she didn't actually give aid and comfort to our enemies. Those acts were clearly intended to improve the morale of U.S. servicemen.
Jane Fonda's disrepute with Vietnam veterans was earned by her actions, not any agenda driven campaign based on misinformation. You can't end something that never even started.

The truth the left doesn't want to accept is: we make everywhere we go better, period. If there is "exploitation" along the way, the ultimate rising tide lifts all boats. It is the American way. We can even nuke 2 cities, then raise a defeated country to the highest level of economic prosperity within a generation. We rebuilt a completely ravaged and devastated Europe. We've changed Africa. We've won over Vietnam in the post-war era. We flipped China from a rural, economically backward Communist dictatorship, at least economically, to our way of doing business in less than a generation (obviously, political changes and freedom are slower to change).
So, American "imperialism" is the sort of thing a third world country should want, not recoil from.

If this were true the democrats that decided to go into Vietnam would have made Hanoi open for bombing and the US would currently have real estate in southeast Asia.

You just justified the war in Vietnam, as the US was fighting for the freedom of the SVN farmer to live on their own choices.

Funny I served with a few former South Vietnamese soldiers. I actually live next to a guy that served in the South Vietnamese army.
Seems your story doesn't add up to what they think of Jane Fonda and his story about how the NVA took over.
Maybe you should get your facts from people some Vietnamese who lived through it.
Oh yeah you cannot say anything due to you didn't serve or live there!

He was a officer in the SVA!
He had to escape on a shrimp boat or be killed.
What he told me was back then towns were remote. NVA went around saying white man killed your grandfather (French), white man killed your (father) us, and white mans coming for you.
They forgot to tell the people that NVA killed Vietnamese who did not help support their cause!
Maybe you know more than Johnny Doe who not only fought to keep freedom in his country but the served in our army during desert storm.

Five years after the US was out out SE Asia, as the body count was increasing 10,000 a day,and the Khmer were stacking skulls 100 high she still refused to admit she was wrong or condemn them. She basically took a "prove it" attitude when challenged by Baez and others on "her side" and then hid somewhere in the Hollywood Hills until it blew over. Only when it was literally no longer possible to deny things,and the NYT was putting it all over the front page and The Killing Fields was winning Oscars, and people stoped giving her a free pass, that she started issuing half-hearted denials and super-weak semi-sorta-maybe apologies.
