I lived in Bangkok on Sathorn Road for a while
How did you like that area ? I’ll probably end up in the Phrom Phong area once i land there for good.. im not crazy about the tourist throngs and traffic, but i love Benjakitti Park and want to be walking distance from it without having to get on the BTS or get a Grabcar .

A lot immigrant women become "boss babes" when they get here. I would even argue at a higher rate than white American women.
The #1 rule is to never, ever bring them back to ur home country to live…. That is a rookie mistake.. b/c not only aren’t you the ‘hot property’ anymore like you were in her Asian country- but now she is seen as exotic and desirable by American men, unlike being dime a dozen like she is in her own country- and she will leave your sorry arse with the quickness, for some guy who is younger and richer…. No, you gotta just go over there to vacation and date different women, or take up full-time (or semi-fulltime) residence in her country if you want to get serious or get married .

I'm in Saigon as we speak. Awaiting the daily rain shower. Enjoying my coffee after my girl ran down to the street to get me 2 Banh mi breakfast. Later we'll go grocery shopping. This place is awesome. I'm a full head taller than 98% of the population and I'm a hair under 5'7", (the only people here taller than me are the ancient Australian or German dudes who seem to own every bar in town.) If I can figure out a way to move here, I will, but I'm not interested in teaching English. Maybe I can convince the dude at the gym to hire me as a strength coach, I don't know. There's ways to find jobs if you really want it. Just go outside, be friendly, talk to everyone, say you're looking for work.
But I got a nice place in the states, so I don't just want to move here full time. I'd like to settle into a 6mos/6mos split between Vietnam and USA.

My wife and I were there last Dec. Fascinating story (and the girl who did the tour was a knockout). Have you ever heard of John Coleman? He was a CIA agent in Bangkok in the 50's and 60's who had a yearning for a more spiritual life and spent a lot of time searching, finally becoming a renowned meditation teacher.
Tiziano Terzano was an Italian journalist for "Spiegel" magazine stationed in Bangkok and has some fascinating descriptions of Bangkok, Thailand, and Asia in general. Check out his book "In Asia". One of my heroes. He was the only journalist who encountered the Khmer Rouge without being killed (many tried).
I really wish I could have seen Asia back then...

Spent 6 weeks TDY to Clark AB in the P.I. for Cope Thunder in the late 80's. Was stationed in AK at the time so the temp change was pretty rough in Mar/Apr.
Didn't get to see that much of the country, but it was a fun time for someone in their 20's.
This was around the time the NPA communists assassinated a U.S. Colonel while he was in an armored car in Manila.
NPA was active around Clark AB as well.

The MIC is entwined with the black hats, or cabal. Us going to Vietnam was a business decision. The MIC made tons, but Vietnam also has coal, phosphates, rare earth elements, bauxite, chromate, copper, gold, iron, manganese, silver, zinc, offshore oil and gas deposits, and timber. We ran an extensive mining operation while we were at war.
Once you learn that we went there so the Elites can make money, it elevates it to "crimes against humanity: with the quickness.
