Nope, it’s definitely not an island. If you ever find yourself unlucky enough to be there, don’t go a mph over the limit, which changes from 75-45-40-35-55-65 all with about a mile.

Higher elevation near Sicily island area compared with south Louisiana. Wanna say they’re 300 or so feet above sea level.

It’s been a rough 50-60 years for most towns in this part of the state. I honestly don’t see it turning around quickly or easily any time soon.

That is always what I pictured David the Gnome as but with red hair.

I actually enjoyed the film quality and shots of old small town LA.
