We already knew this
If charges were pressed every law abiding gun owner should riot

What pisses me off the most was this went on for like 15 minutes with no police response.

100% justified. He kept trying to leave the situation and didn't shoot until he was cornered. If you are cornered like that with a gun and someone is still coming at you then you have to shoot, if not there is a very real chance they will take it from you.

This was a shitty situation.
I could have restrained him until cops came.
I don't CC though. So, not sure what I'd have done if I was carrying.

This was a classic SYG case. The armed citizen retreated until he could no longer do so.
Chalk one up for the good guys.

Thats the thing. With no weapon on you it would have been easy and pretty safe to just take the dude down and hold him there but with a gun on your hip he could go for I wouldn't chance it.

If you're going to be dumb, you better be strong. Guy picked the wrong fight.

After watching the video again, I'm glad the camera was there. It clearly shows the armed citizen using his firearm as his last resort, then escaping the immediate scene once he pulled the trigger. It is obvious he was not looking to shoot someone while open carrying, but simply exercising his rights provided by the second amendment that will not be infringed, ever.

I don't know if it really matters how strong you are if the guy is packing and you aren't but ya that dude who was starting the shite was so fricked up he could have easily been taken down no problem even with no weapons.

You are mixing up the two legal concepts of being able to use deadly force.
Previously, you had to make an effort to retreat before you can use deadly force.
Now, you don't have to retreat at all. Just plug that fricker.

No doubt that video was justified

That's kind of a silly speculation.

A fire station is nextdoor

I'm not shooting an un armed person unless he breaks into my house. I would have hit him with a fricking cash register before I shot him. This is coming from a redneck who buys $7,000 to $10,000 a year in guns and loves to shoot. With the video I saw I would have hit him with something before I shot him.
With all that being said if I was open carrying and some dumb frick was stupid enough to not back down and try to grab my weapon then I would have shot him.

Im not saying THAT guy could have taken him down, I am saying I could just like I am sure you could. But like I said before I wouldn't do it while wearing a sidearm just in case because if he happened to get his hands on it and even move it a tiny bit bad shite would happen.

I agree. If I don't have a fire arm in that situation I'm hitting him with a bag of curry in the face. If I'm legally carrying and he isn't backing down I'm shooting him every time. I've been fricked up many times in my life but I've never been fricked up enough to keep coming at someone with a gun pointed at me.
