This sounds like some sort of sexual adventure.

No... that's, in fact, Victor/Victoria's Secret.

Victoria's Secret or SI Swimsuit: Which Collapse Was More Avoidable?

Define "collapse". Both companies still exist in the worlds of retailer and publisher. I suppose you mean their efforts to appeal to a broader spectrum of consumers?

A somewhat related anecdote for entertainment purposes only: My daughter collected swimsuits, and at any one time had perhaps 50 to 60 various styles including vintage and custom-made. One was a hot pink Victoria's Secret Very Sexy String Bikini like this. I was in the pool when she strolled through a hotel lobby wearing it, swam a couple laps in the pool, then went into the gym for a workout and run on the treadmill. I didn't want to embarrass her so I said nothing, but when we got back to our hotel room I ordered it retired to the archives.

So you're female?

Always assumed you were a guy.

I am/was a single dad.

To answer the other question, she was a few months short of 12 years old in the described VS incident. She had matured early and by that age she was often presumed to be older than her chronologic age, but was still a bit childishly naive to the attention she would draw.

You would be viewed as a Muslim in a burka by those of us on the Gulf Coast near the beaches, and you would likely think I am the poster boy for bad parenting. My daughter was quite comfortable in bikinis, as from the age of 9 she was a swimwear model for newspaper print ads and online catalogs for designers and retailers such as Justice (formerly Limited Too), H&M, Vogue Bambini, Arizona Jeans, Swim'n Sport, Speedo, Dillard's, Kohls, etc.
