She was put in the cop car and taken to the station. They booked her on something
Thats what I'm saying, but idk what it was. This other poster is saying she wasn't charged with anything at all. I don't believe that. She HAD to be charged with something.

She was charged with remaining after being forbidden and resisting an officer

Yes I did! Totally missed that. See? Marshall could have been directed by "someone" to approach her and remove her .. the same someone who said cuff her??

Makes sense.
Now the only question becomes, if he had the right to remove her....which I would think he would.

What gives a school board member the authority to instruct a LEO to arrest someone? He’s not a fricking judge!

Thanks. I just found this and found it interesting.

Although the Vermilion Parish School System is not pressing charges against her, the teacher removed from Monday night's school board meeting has been booked into jail.
quote:
Superintendent Jerome Puyau told KATC Monday night that he called to ensure that police knew the system was not pressing charges against Hargrave, but she was booked anyway, records show. She has since bonded out. City Prosecutor Ike Funderburk told KATC that the School System officials had called him this morning to reiterate that the system wasn't interested in pursuing charges.
I realize that they dont need the school districts cooperation, but this will turn into a terrible hill to die on if they go through with charges against her given the publicity and possible lawsuits.

School board is trying to save face as quickly as possible. There is a 99.999999% chance that these charges are dropped with the quickness.
Then it will just depend how hard this teacher wants to push the issue of what happened. She teaches in Kaplan, so I suspect she will not quietly head back to her class room and teach her heart out.

You already know the Kaplan teachers are about to schedule a meet up at Sonic to stage a protest
But after they get their cherry limeades

Did they have a right to forbid her from being at that meeting? Genuine question.

Maybe head on over to the Broken Spoke for some bud heavies. That’ll calm their nerves

Sure they did if they felt she was out of order

Probably not...
But I'm sure they have the power to remove anyone causing a scene at the meeting.
That is how it will be spun, but its still a bad look when you want somebody removed because they don't share your opinion. I dont think that teacher was a threat to rush their podium and throw shite at them, or even to curse them out.

I hear if you stay at broken spoke long enough that you can walk over to doughnut queen in the morning.
