I doubt they are dependant on it. Its probably more of a situation where it was there for a while, and no longer isnt. So have to figure out how to act without it.
But hell, maybe its still rolling in. I have no clue.

There's a 12 min video and he didn't raise his voice from what I remember. He started to reach for her and she said something about don't touch me. I couldn't tell if he pushed her or if she tripped but she did fall to the ground. I also don't think there was a view of if perhaps a board member motioned to him to do something ornament if he just chose to act of his own accord.
Don't think handcuffs or any of this was warranted. I'm inclined to think that someone motioned him over to her.

At least Louisiana isn't ranked last nationally in academic achievement.

Staying in Vermilion Parish, Kaplan is 15 min away.
Going west, the next town is Lake Arthur (Jeff Davis parish).
Going north, there's Midland HS on the way to Crowley (Acadia Parish).

I'm not going to name him. Sure its not hard to find though. There are very few city marshalls. Ole baw is probably dealing with enough already.

She definitely kicked over that Wet Floor sign on purpose to enhance the scene.

Out of curiosity who does the Marshall report to ? City police?? Mayor?? Police jury??

I don't think he acted beyond his duty.

She was in the middle of a dialog with the Super when the officer went to grab her.
He was way out of line and should be fired.
There should also be an investigation of some sort of rights violation or censorship. She had every right to be there and ask questions.....he had no right to throw her out and the board had no right to instruct him to throw her out.

She's short -- maybe she was trying to step over it.

Bonus checks
Any budget tied oil and gas revenues has been suffering for a long while. I don't know anything about bonus checks.

She was resisting arrest. Take her to the ground. The officer was right to do so.
What was the probable cause to the officer that she had committed a crime?

No clue. The Marshall is an elected official. So my guess is the mayor???? Certainly not the city police.

He may have been motioned over -- you can't see the board members when he moved over to her.

When my father, aunts, uncles, and older cousins came up in the Leroy area they had a consolidated school for Laf, Ver, & Acadia Parish called Indian Bayou. Then I think they opened North Vermillion between Leroy and Maurice.
I could see them closing Gueydan and moving the kids to schools in a local parish that is closer than Kaplan.
Gueydan way the heck out past my fields in an area called Wright closer to Jeff Davis or Cameron Parish if I am correct.
It is another Blackeye for this Parish.
I can see my grandfather rolling over in his grave over stupid stuff like this.
Yes, I have had calls from chamber friends, relatives, and some friends who expect the business community to step up on this one.
I would rather talk to politicians about not doing away with chickenfighting over talking about this.

I'm going to assume, by what he was saying on the video, that his argument will be that he gave her a lawful order to leave and had to do so multiple times.
Then whatever she said, or did, in the hall is what made the arrest happen. Not the argument in the meeting.

Why did she have to leave?

I'm not arguing that she did anything that warranted her being forced to leave. I dont know what is allowed or not allowed in these meetings.

I'm really thinking that a board member motioned for the Marshall. I have no proof but it is not impossible.
