Is that the St. Amant "I want to speak to the manager" haircut making an appearance in Vermillion Parish.

ETA: I forget who came up with that name. All credit to that poster.

Yeah that's a Fontana vs LeBeouf spat as well. That is why when I opened this thread I was expecting Mrs Lebeouf to be the one being arrested. Not because she is a piece of shite, like Fontana, but because she doesnt back down and she's trying to stand up to this shite but she doesn't have numbers on her side. So the public is standing up for her, and you see the results.

There is another heated video out there as well. The other is with a Herpin (maybe the son of the deceased board member, or at least family of him).

The common denominator is all of these arguments is all the arguing is coming from people from Kaplan. Mrs. Lebeouf is from....Kaplan.

The winner of the election that will take place will be in the Gueydan district will be a former teacher/principal for a loong time in......wait for it.....Kaplan.

So this will not end things. It will get even more interesting soon. Because Dupuis will fight like Lebeouf.

(Edit: just read this back, and it may come off as Kaplan folks being the issue, but that's not the case. I think they are just the only ones right now trying to stand up to the BS Fontana is pulling. Im sure that will change now)

My husband was friends with Mr. Herpin and with his sons as well. I saw the very emotional speech the son made after his dads death.

Video of deceased board members son pleading for board to follow his dads wishes

I get it .. my husband is from Kaplan and there are some really good people there and let me tell you they don't back down.
eta: I know plenty of nice people from Kaplan but there are many of these nice people that I've told my husband I wouldn't ever try to cross them. They scare me!

I attend probably 3 dozen public meetings a year for work. It is always important that the officiating board member (president, chair, etc.) know how to control meetings and answer questions like the lady had. Or explain to them why those questions are not appropriate at that time. A lot of what goes on in public meetings is foreign to people like the teacher who had every right to give her comment/question. I didn't have a problem with anything until the cop, seemingly without direction from anyone, started to escort the lady out. He was out of line. The officiating board member could have done several things and this meeting never makes the news. Now its an embarrassment for one of the better public school districts in the state (in before the expected responses).

Thats the issue. Fontana always barks orders at anyone who doesn't share his opinion. His a typical trash lawyer. And the superintendent never speaks up during these moments (because Fontana is in his back pocket and it benefits him greatly to keep him there).

The cop here isn't a street cop. He is a city Marshall, who actually works at one of the middle schools as a security officer. He's not in these situations often, and probably wishes he would have handled it better today. He is actually a good dude. He may have some pissed off teachers at him today at the school.

I doubt LEOs get much training for public meetings just because they aren't needed, especially in more rural places. We actually don't have law enforcement at our public meetings. One is a school board meeting. We are blessed to not have much controversy at all in ours.

LEOs in Louisiana in general don't receive very much training. Townships typically pay them minimum wage, so your aren't going to attract many quality individuals with that kind of incentive.

And which middle school does he work at?? Sad that there needs to be any type of LEO at a school but these days aren't the same.

You really need to ask this question?

JH Williams is a damn clown show. As a white male going into that environment 15 years ago, I was at a total loss of words. It’s MUCH worse now, IMO. That place is scary as hell

ETA - that place made me street smart and introduced me to rap music though

Right. But he is not prepared to handle much more than some unruley kids.

My best guess on this situation is, he was informed not to let anything get out of hand in the meeting and if it happened to remove them. He did this, probably at a time it wasn't needed. Teacher doesn't initially comply with him, but at that point he had to remove her or he gets bitched out by a teacher.

She eventually complies and leaves. He probably put his hand on her arm to escort her out and she yanked away (this is just my best guess of what happened in the time we didn't see). He takes her to the ground, since she "resisted." Now he has to arrest her.

I doubt she even had to bond out. Probably wrote her a subpoena and sent her on her way.

Either way, its not a good look and that teacher may have them by the balls now. And I dont think the majority of cops who work on the street would have handled this the same way.

She is a box of rocks. She wanted to tie his increase to an increase in ACT scores(*I think it was the pay increae*). When asked what she would recommend the scores go to her answer, "I don't know. I don't have any data on that."
In one of the meetings she had a whole herd of people from Gueydan show up because she said the school board was voting to shut Gueydan High School down....surprise! It was never on the agenda & was never discussed.
