I've been with State Farm, and the same agent, for over 20 years, and their rates are Killing us !

Two adults, two "new" female drivers, no accidents, no tickets, no nothing for over 10 years......

Seriously considering going to one of the lesser known companies for better rates.

I know, you get what you pay for, but considering the customer loyalty, and the CLEAN driving records, I feel that SF is screwing us.

Who are you using for insurance ?

What do you mean by two new female drivers? How much are you paying? What’s your coverage, how many vehicles?

You see how many variables I listed? You’re asking people simply about price without asking why they are paying what they are paying

I was with Geico for over 15 years. Loyalty is not rewarded. Shop your insurance. I actually had a decent quote from State Farm but went with USAA as it helped my homeowners/auto by bundling.

State Farm spends all their money on advertising.

I do not know what you have available in your area

USAA, Cincinnati Financial, Amica

However, insurance is a very regional thing.

We had SF for years for house and vehicles until they stopped insuring homes in our area so we dropped them.

Found out quickly that loyalty screws you and we paid alot less with different insurance companies.

For vehicle, we have had GEICO, Progressive, Auto-owners and Safeco.

I shop every 2-3 years...

Inflation is unforgiving, and doesn’t consider anyones driving record, unfortunately.

As opposed to Allstate, Geico, Progressive, Liberty Mutual, Farmers, etc.

What a dumb statement.

One 20 year old, no accidents/tickets since she began driving 4 years ago, driving a 2020 Hyundai Sonata. One 16 year old, driving for 6 months, no accidents/tickets, driving a 2016 Ford Escape.

Mom, and myself, have been accident/ticket free for 10 years.
House is insured with SF as well....good student discounts, and every available discount applied.

$409 per month.....

You have two youthful drivers, and the 16 year old is going to kill you no matter where you're insured.

What state are you in?
What's your coverage limits?
How many vehicles total?

You should always shop your insurance around. I send my prior policy to ensure it is apples to apples.

I am with Allstate now.

Was with Geico forever, got a quote from progressive and it was 15% cheaper.
Edit: Also told Geico I was leaving and they said they couldn't come down anymore.

This applies to pretty much everything with small outliers.

Cabl TV to jobs.

Has always been better to bounce around

Introductory rate, it's going to go up after 1 year of earned premium. That's how progressive operates.

It actually hurts your insurance score quite a bit to jump around like that.

No it doesn't.

It's recommended to check quotes once a year

Progressive or Geico. When I started working I wanted a Mustang GT but was gonna gonna have to get my on insurance. My dad had me go meet with his State Farm agent and they quoted me $720/mo with a clean driving record. Got in touch with Geico and they insured it for less than $400/mo.
