My cousin’s wife posts “Prayers needed” all the time on her fb but won’t say why.

I’m very tempted to comment “Sorry I only pray specific prayers for others. You obviously want attention, might as well let us know what the problem is”

Okay, but as long as you know that you're just enabling her.

I thoroughly enjoy any status that starts "I normally don't do this, but..."

That really sucks about your dad. Thanks for not posting vague passive-aggressive social media posts about it.

yeah

if you have acid reflux, don't tough it out and get treatment or you'll likely face a big ole helping of esophageal cancer

cancer. really fast. he was eating normal in late October then within 10 days could barely drink. got diagnosed with esophageal cancer shortly after. i was in Houston all last week with him at MD Anderson. it had basically taken over his liver after they stabilized him and chemo would kill him faster (and worse) than cancer at this point. likely won't make Christmas

how dare you not tell me!

They don't even care about what happened, they just care that they don't know. It's pathetic.

A family member does this shite constantly, like minimum daily. I have her hidden but still frequently get asked by other people what or who the frick she's talking about. she's a loon but has a billion FB "friends".

they're upset that they don't know *and can't post about it themselves and ask for prayers

to both virtue signal how awesome and caring they are, but also get that direct attention

Yep. It's always the people who are the first to post "prayers for (insert tragedy here)"

The only lower form of social media posting is when the vague, passive aggressive post about someone is also song lyrics

Especially when the song lyrics come from "Wonderwall" by Oasis....
