I'm curious, where do you put all of these? What does your display look like?

I keep them in my model room…

I store, build, and display my models in here.

Thanks man. It’s very easy - just as it looks. Under light paints, you can also use colors like tans, yellows, etc that alters the tones. I love it.

I do live in GA - right outside Savannah

Awesome stuff, Darth! Thanks for taking the time out to be so thorough in your reply. I’m going to get the supplies you recommended and put that to use on my next one, as I’m just about finished with the Super Hornet I’m working on now. USS Kittyhawk is on deck.

I’ll post some pics once I get the decals finished, if they’ll leave me alone long enough in here! It’s rough, but supplies were limited and it’s helped pass the time and gives me something to look forward to every day.

Thanks again. Probably gonna hit you up for some more tips in the future!

Roger that. I’ll have to give it a try soon.

Gotcha. Savannah is one of our favorite road trips. Are there any good hobby shops around you?

I mentioned Kennesaw for a reason. They have an awesome hobby store there named Hobbytown USA. It’s bigger than the others I’ve seen and they have a HUGE selection of kits. It’s about two hours away from me and we go usually two or three times a year.

Unfortunately no good hobby shops. There used to be two really good ones here. Old fashioned types.

Let me know next time you make it to Savannah!

Oh, you going to go to the game when Auburn comes to Athens?

When I was a kid... ( along time ago in a galaxy far, far away)

There was this Hobby store in our mall. he buy must have been a WWII Vet because up front of the store he had a Willy's Jeep... In the back he had Luftwaffe uniforms, Pilots Jackets with Visors and all sort of WWII memorabilia. But it was highly Aviation oriented. They were all kept behind glass on display... An extremely comprehensive Luftwaffe collection.

For some reason I believe now that he must have Been some high ranking officer in the US Air Corp in WWII and most likely a pilot himself.

This was in the 70's... So if he was a pilot in WWII in his 20's, he would have been in the 50's now. Perfect time to retire and open a Hobby Shop.

With fall. Ming I have a feeling my girls will get the itch to go. My daughter especially likes the nighttime ghost tours. And I’m dying to visit the 8th Air Force Museum. If we do go, I’ll give you a shout.

It’s bad enough watching us lose to Georgia again. Doing it in person again would only make it worse.

Man as much as I appreciate it, I’m in Houston waiting for a heart/ liver transplant. Houston Methodist has one of only a few surgeons capable of taking me apart and putting me back together

It’s 1/48. It’s the Top Gun Maverick edition. I normally stick with the World War II era stuff, so this one isn’t my exact cup of tea. But my father-in-law got it for me because he knows I used to do them. So I’m gonna give it to him when I’m done as a thank you.

No pilots and no seat belt decals. I had to paint those damn things. Good thing my eyes are still good and he sent me some small brushes.

Haha.

I use magnifying glasses.

I have a sweet 3D printed seat for my next One72 model.

Do that. The museum is legit. They have a B-24 coming soon.

The ghost tours are hit and miss. I can point you to some good ones if you like.
