Those look great. I like that you did one in Hungarian colors.

Truly talented and always appreciate you sharing.
I've always loved the nose art on WW2 planes, Have you ever done one and if so was it free hand or decal?

More of a lacquer paints user myself. Excellent job!
Here is my current work in progress. A 1/35 Tamiya M48A3 and a crew set. Working on the crew first but a little here and there on the tank. Maybe I’ll post all my crew pics. Going to do a small battle of Hue diorama.
This is one of the 1/35 figures that I still have a bit to do on:

I have a kit for my Grandfathers B-29 - he was a bombardier on it. No decals, so the artwork will be freehand. Fortunately I know all of the codes for it, too. Here he is with his bird on Tinian in early 1945.

Wow! Gorgeous. I love your modeling skills and in particular the attention to detail. Thanks for sharing.

I honestly don't understand the downvotes in your posts.

Oh, decal. I’m not nearly talented enough to try doing freehand nose art.

I used to add battle effects to the models. “Burnt smoke” streaks, or bullet holes

That is awesome and I know not all, but many applied the art work themselves.
Have you read the novel "Unbroken"?
If not I highly recommend it. This book basically is what made me intrigued on their art work stories..
This plane was supposedly cursed in the book. The Green Hornet.

It's interesting that the Germans couldn't quit dithering about with scads of AFVs and ground vehicles which screwed up their manufacturing and logistics situation. But they basically stayed with 2 fighters the entire war - and the 109 was a mid-30s design. I know the 262 required a ton of resources, but that was such a leap in tech they had to go for it.

I somehow find this hard to believe.
Project image, trace and paint by numbers so to speak. Tedious, but I bet if you tried, you could do it.
Thanks for sharing your talent

I’ve thought about buying some national insignia stencils. But nose art, that’s a whole other level of difficulty.

Good job, as always.
How many models would you estimate you have done?

I was at the Pensacola |Naval Museum last week and I think I saw one of these. They had a Messerschmitt and Jap Zero on display with the massive amount of American naval firepower. Just a great museum.
I was surprised at the size of some of the single-seater jet planes; some were huge pieces of heavy machinery. The F4 ( met an older pilot) and many of the others are just as impressive up close.
ETA: Update - The Messerschmitt I saw was a jet but was similar in size to yours. Perhaps it was the first jet used in war?
All I know is the Nazi symbol on the tail kinda stood out.

They had the home field advantage. When they didn't, that German Engineering wasn't so good.

Great build! I was just at the Model Box to get that exact kit, but Tobee said you got the last one.

I have roughly 200 on display in my model room that I’ve built over the past roughly 25 years. Before that, probably another 20 or so maybe? I started building models when I was about 7 or 8 in the 1970s. But of course I had a lot of other things going on, so I didn’t build that many. OST of my teen and young adult life I’d be lucky to build one per year. Only on the last 6 or 7 years have I really started building a lot to the point it’s my main hobby. I’d say I average roughly 25 or so builds a year.

You’ll love it. If you’ve ever built a 109 kit, you know most of them have serious issues with getting the landing gear to set correctly and they’re rather weak. Tamiya has solved that issue either way this kit. Within minutes of cementing the landing gear in place, they could hold the weight of the plane with no problem.

That looks great. One of my most prized builds in my collection is this A-10….
My son built this one when he was about 12 years old.
