What is your opinion of Monogram?

Revell and Monogram are owned by the same company. I don’t think they make Minogram any longer. I have one Monogram kit, a Dauntless dive bomber kit from the 70s, in my stash that I found on Facebook Marketplace.

Same. I got started building models when KMart was still around and had a model isle. This was in the late 70s. All the kits were either Monogram, Revell, or AMT. my first build was a Monogram P-40. I have one Monogram kit in my collection I built a few years ago, a TBD Devastator. I bought it off eBay for like $50-$60 bucks. When the kit arrived on the mail it was still wrapped in the original plastic and had ab old KMart price tag for like $4.00. Here’s the finished product…

Nice. My first build was an M-35 Deuce and a Half from K Mart. Can’t remember if it was Revell or Monogram.

Thanks for the reply.

Do you have a place in your home where you display your builds?

Yes. I have a room upstairs that’s my model room. It’s where I build and display my models.

I had just asked him in his last thread if he ever did weathering, and he delivers an excellent example in his next posted project.

Thanks. I’ve been on a weathering kick lately. I experimented on some older models and liked the results so I’ll do more going forward.

Looks more impressive than the one in the war memorial link.

Awesome. Hope you enjoy the build. When you’re done I’d love to see it.
