The Carro Armato M13/40 was an Italian World War II tank designed to replace the M11/39 in the Italian Army at the start of World War II.[5] It was the primary tank used by the Italians throughout the war. The design was influenced by the British Vickers 6-Ton and was based on the modified chassis of the earlier M11/39.[5] Production of the M11/39 was cut short in order to get the M13/40 into production.[5] The name refers to "M" for Medio (medium) according to the Italian tank weight standards at the time, 13 tonnes was the scheduled weight and 1940 the initial year of production.

Then I wouldn’t have anything to clean my paint brushes in.

That's some fine work there.

Excellent, as usual. Enjoy seeing your work.
When are you going to have a keg party and do what we did as youngsters? Put the armor out in yard on opposing sides and bombard them with fireworks. Bring your own pellet guns.

Looks great. That's a Night Shift worthy paint job!

Thanks. She’s got a bit of wear & tear on her.

How long did the painting and decal work take?

Speaking of wear and tear, one detail that really catches my eye is the shovel and other tools stored on the left fender as opposed to the broken stowage bracket, aft of the turret. Great elements of realism!

Great build! Excellent job on the chipping and weathering!

I think I'm going to get into building some aircraft models. What brand of models do you usually build and what brands would you recommend?

Thanks. I accidentally broke that bracket and did some improvising.

My two favorites are Tamiya & Italeri. Airfix also has some good models as well. But I build everything from Academy to Zvezda.

You would have thought the Germans would have learned their lesson about piss-poor allies in WWI when Austria-Hungary was little better than dead weight.
