rough winters
Winter is Salt Lake is very tolerable. The dry climate makes is seem warmer than it is.

bland food
The food in and around Salt Lake is very good. It’s not New Orleans or even Birmingham, but the food was surprisingly good.

LDS
Salt Lake is less than 40% LDS. That is only a big deal outside of the city.
I’m not sure there’s a better state to be in if you love being outside than Utah. Hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing….. all world class.

I am a big fan of the ski areas in Utah. Especially Park City/Deer Valley.
I love the town of Park City also.
I do not have much experience anywhere else except for Salt Lake City for flying in and out of. I love the landscape because it is different from the flat land I have always lived in.
I do know there are some very interesting political things that go on there that could effect your business of it was there. You kind of don’t have control of certain things due to the Mormon church.
Great place ski would not live there unless I was able to live up in the mountains

Beautiful terrain, nice climate, lots of great hunting opportunities, relatively sparse population, favorable demographics.
You forgot Matt's Offroad Recovery, Fab Rats and Robby Layton Nation YouTube channels!

Not even close. The hiking is great and the skiing is definitely world class. However, nobody out west would say the hunting and fishing opportunities are good, let alone world class. Say you live in SLC, where do you fish? The only decent spot is Strawberry Reservoir, and it’s a good drive.
Hunting? Think again. There may be decent quail but that’s about it for upland birds; some spots have a decent number of waterfowl, but certainly not world class. Deer? Some, sure. Elk? Not that many. Moose? Few. Hope you like pronghorn.

If you ever go there, it’s like a different country. Kids have no fear and the kids working fast food are unbelievably slow. McDonald’s is a 25 minute wait after you order and they act like that’s normal. Missionaries eat free practically everywhere.

Love Utah especially southern Utah. Ready to get back out to Moab sometime.

Moose? Few.
My son went to the university of Utah. He missed classes one day because there was a moose roaming around campus.

There are no brown people in Utah. Last time we were there the only black person we saw was our Uber driver and he was a Kenyan refugee.
Utah is amazing. The people there are cool. Food is better than you think. Business there is booming. It is a short trip to some of the most amazing outdoor venues in North American.
At some point, it too will get changed & ruined. It's the American way.

Eh, I'll take Colorado as cliche as it sounds.
