Complete Bullshite, only way I've had any luck getting the package when that happens is taking my arse to the actual post office to get it, even when it says, they'll attempt the next delivery day, yeah that doesn't happen.
Those lazy fricks

UPS is the service I never have any issues with.

Reduce your Amazon buys over time. Their grip is too strong on us.

Mailman balanced a package on the back of my mailbox instead of bringing it to the door yesterday.

I gave up trying to complain and argue with the post office when about a year ago the postmaster told me she had on good authority that my package wasn’t deliverable because my dog was in the front yard. She had no answer for me when I said “well my dog died last year so thanks for bringing that up”.
On a positive note, I’ve become pretty friendly with 2 other families whose house number matches mine several miles away. We constantly seem to get each other’s mail and have all just decided to deliver each other’s mail when we receive it.

From usps, to the dmv, everything about government run organizations is a massive failure.

I ordered a 7 foot fig tree once and they dead said “won’t fit in mailbox” on my online order. No fricking shite it won’t fit in the mailbox, ya dolt.

It is pretty smart if you think about it

I can’t remember the last time USPS delivered a package to my house. They just place a note in my mailbox telling me to come and pick it up from the post office. They don’t even bother making an attempt

Get one on EVERY Saturday delivery. EVERY! There is NO obstruction to sidewalk or driveway. Just don’t want to deliver pkg on Saturday!

USPS tried to claim my dog wouldn’t let them up my driveway once
Kinda freaked me out since he had been dead for almost a year at that point

Ordered a pair of mattresses last year. My notice said something like mailbox full or similar to what yours had. I called and actually got to talk to someone at the sorting center and had it rescheduled. Said I know it was mattresses and wouldn’t fit in a normal mai truck but I had seen package trucks in the neighborhood and some had even delivered large packages to my house. I was assured it would be redelivered the next week. This was on a Saturday.
Well the next week comes and goes. I contact Amazon. They sent two replacements and even after me asking that they ship with UPS, Amazon vans, or FedEx, it still went through the mail. Same story. Notice saying it won’t fit. I finally go to the sorting center with my notice and they give me all 4 mattresses. The lady there said they weren’t sending them back. So I contact Amazon and they say to keep them. My boys got new mattresses too all because of the inept USPS.

Also I noticed that a package tracking said delivered at 5:15 PM one day this week. It was on my front porch at 9 AM. Only way I knew was because I went out then to take my youngest to daycare. It wasn’t anything big or expensive but we’ve had problems like everyone else with people stealing packages. Seems the USPS won’t ring doorbells or knock either. All the other carriers will. My Ring cam is pretty good at picking up motion, but our mail carrier sits them at the very edge of the porch. A good 10 feet from the door so anyone waking by can see a big package there for the taking. Why they didn’t scan it as delivered at 9AM instead of after work when they got back I have no clue.

Now USPS but a carrier twice last week claimed that materials were delivered to our job site when then were just sitting in the carriers distribution center. Now I have to fly a guy cross country to finish the project when the materials finally arrive. I am not happy.

Christmas presents for your postal delivery person are more than just thank you for the past year.

USPS fricks up almost all the parcels they touch that go to my address. I wish I could black list USPS on my Amazon account. UPS and FEDEX do it better and deserve the business.
USPS should stick with letters, junk mail, and envelops. They’ve proven over the last 10 years that they can’t handle anything important.
