America was once a third world country too even though they weren't called that back then. So what happened in America that couldn't also happen on Africa? The word come from something that is a racist term for someone.

(I cite the OT as the only source that should be needed
). Bottom line is that although a lot of people like to use race as a shorthand for cultural ills, I don't think that's sound logic. Heck, history is full of instances where one group lumped together another group and assigned bad characteristics to them. At one time Germans were reviled by the Romans. Britons were reviled by the Saxons, Gauls were reviled by the Franks, etc. etc. All have shown they can succeed. Given that we are all one species I think we all have the potential to succeed or fail in the long run.
