This list is about as useful as their college rankings.

Green Bay #3

Look, I like my hometown. It was a nice place to grow up but the third best place to live in all of America?

Besides relatively inexpensive housing I can’t fathom a reason to live there. Horrible climate, terrible job market for anyone with a college degree who doesn’t work in healthcare, high taxes, etc.

The population has barely grown in the last 20 years. That doesn’t strike me as one of the most desirable places to live in the entire country.

I’d have to double my salary to move back.

Oh and if Peoria Il is one of the top 50 places to live, America is a total shithole. It’s one of the last places I’d ever live

I don’t know how much thought they put into this list.

Augusta, GA in the top 80 is highly questionable. One of the bigger shitholes in Georgia. Just because they have the Master’s once a year doesn’t make it a nice town.

West by God Virginia is fricking great. But Huntington, Parkersburg, hell even much of Charleston are just meh or complete holes. A lot of poverty in the rural parts but land is cheap and it is absolutely one of the most beautiful states

I spent a fair amount of time in Ripley, WV. I agree that it's beautiful. Meth aside I'd definitely live in WV.

They must apply some sort of formula without knowing anything about the place. None of this is accurate about BR

Baton Rouge, the ever-expanding capital of Louisiana, increasingly absorbs the flavor of New Orleans without adopting the bustle of a tourist spot. Warm year-round and located right off the Mississippi River, the metro area moves at a suburban pace while offering the opportunities of a flourishing cultural hub.

Nice seasonal weather, great activities for an outdoorsman. I really don't care for cities much anymore anyway. Hell we have plenty of meth heads and heroin addicts in those too.

San Jose and San Francisco in the top 10.

Top 10 for whom? Homeless people? AIDS infested rats?

Cities are far worse than the rural areas. They congregate in large herds. Its just easy to hide in a specific neighborhood and pretend those don't exist.

Peoria has all the charm of BR but with a lot of snow and sky high taxes.

I think most of all I love Santa Barbara and Rockford Illinois being adjacent on that list. I get that home prices are a real issue, but come on…..

BR at 93????

Tell me they have not been to BR without telling me they have not been to BR.

I was born and raised in BR and have traveled across much of the US. I can pick out a hundred places I would live and BR is not one of them.

2 cities where housing is completely unaffordable. Great climate and high paying jobs but the housing cost are off the charts.
Also they are infested with loony progs who want to fund their prog utopia with the little money you have left after paying for decent housing.
