I don't understand the fear associated with North Korea... What are they going to do bomb South Korea or Japan than get wiped off the map? Their military is obsolete in every way, they do not have to resources to start a war, their military is malnourished and would surrender if a war broke out, The Chinese will not help if they start a war and the only card they have to play is an attack on Seoul which again would be the end of the regime. Rocket man is not that stupid, but like his father and grand father he will keep talking. I predict within 10 years that the regime will crumble ,because it is getting harder for the government to restrict information coming into the country.

I was around when the U.S. boycotted the 1980 Olympics in Moscow.
It was probably one of the most universally-disapproved actions I've even seen our "leaders" make.
It is political poison.
Boycotting the Olympics is dumb. The action of a weak nation with a weak leader. That's what we were in 1979 (Jimmy Carter).
That's the signal we would be sending to the world if we boycott. The Carter years are back.

Hopefully they don't. Our cheerleaders were chosen to represent the US there.

In all seriousness, what's going on in Qatar is horrifying. I'm surprised there hasn't been talk of boycotting from multiple countries to put pressure on FIFA to move the WC.
I’m being serious when I say that the members of FIFA who voted for this should be put on trial for crimes against humanity. And once they’re pronounced guilty, execute them, preferably by throwing them from the highest building they can find.
They’re responsible for a 9/11 or two all for some bribes and to watch men kick a ball up and down a field. They should be killed for that. I’d love for Trump to attempt to start this process.

we should be more concerned about qualifying for the WC than boycotting...
frick that. Let’s get Canada, Australia, New Zealand, East Asia (save for North Korea) and Western Europe and do our own damn cup. Run them out of business.

I've got a building. Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Tallest building in the world.
