U.S. Marshals have been told they should gear up to defend national monuments across the country, after several of the structures were toppled or vandalized during recent protests, a report said on Wednesday.
The service “has been asked to immediately prepare to provide federal law enforcement support to protect national monuments,” Marshals Assistant Director Andrew C. Smith wrote in an email obtained by The Washington Post.
“This is a challenging assignment due to the breadth of possible targets for criminal activity,” Smith wrote.
To coordinate, the Marshals Incident Management Team will start a Joint Operations Center in Springfield, Va., and every Special Operations Group deputy will be made available to help as soon as Thursday, he wrote.
This is in addition to the National Guard being called out for the riots organized by the progressive marxists.

I hope they follow through as they should've been doing this a long time ago. Unfortunately, they gave them an inch in this game and now they (rioters) are taking the proverbial marathon as a result. Once you bend the knee, it's harder to stand back up.

Why now?????? It took 155 years and we are letting them tear shite down that have been there for over 100 years. This country has turned soft. I say we tear down any statue of MLK cause I don’t like them. And rename every MLK street just I don’t like them.......

Deputy US Marshals operate the witness protection program, protect federal judges and courts, apprehend federal fugitives, and perform special operations. Who else would be better suited?
