Can't believe there were people actually calling out the marines for calling this tool out. They weren't AT the funeral.

In Afghan we were doing medical flights out for injured soldiers. We had two large panel trucks to move equipment. Had just finished a flight out and guy in civvies walks up to us and told us they were going to use our trucks. Our mission has a pretty high priority so we told him no they werent. He replied we work with the deputy sec def. They won t the argument with that statement. He was there visiting, we got coins from him for helping them out

They were in the parking lot away from the funeral. The way some people were talking you would have thought they confronted the guy in front of the casket in the church.

I see this, but the title of the story AND thread is
quote:

at funeral

The way they are dressed for not being
quote:

at funeral
means they were hanging out waiting to bag on this guy..

Which I am ok with. Anyone who does that deserves to be called out.

Agreed...But would you have someone film it...? That part seems like overkill...

Yep. They deserve to have their faces put up all over the internet for it.

The sgt. and his CO were pissed because apparently the guy was huge dirtbag and just thought it would be cool to tell the commandant to GTFO.

I'm not military, but I could see where if I just got back from Afghanistan and had buddies who died or who came back with no legs I would be pissed as hell too to see some prick like that guy walking around in medals he did not earn. It's not like some of those medals are fake national title rings or something. People risk their lives to earn those medals. I would call them out in a funeral parking lot too.

Not bad, 12 years for me. This one is just a few of my larger medals/badges. My ribbon rack is in a box in the attic somewhere.

I'd like to see them try and call me out in public like that.

I watched it linked on a different site. One of the commentors linked a few altercations the guy has had. He apparently is not a mental case. Just likes to pull these stunts and then sue people when they act out. The person even showed his name. I will look for it.

Regarding stolen valor. SCOTUS threw it out in 2012 saying it was a violation of Freedom of Speech. That the law could be used to prosecute people for wearing baseball jerseys and similar attire.A bunch of crap. To the guys saying the Marines were out of line, I disagree. Asshats like this need to be made examples of when they perculate to the top of the shite pile.
