So the Gov’t would take a a percentage of the company if the company accepted financial assistance?
It’s the company’s choice to do this? Why is this bad? Just tell the Gov’t “no” if not interested.

You would think so but I know a good portion of the workers at my company would agree to anything that kept them from being laid off.
Since March 15th we have had two layoffs that cut 75% of the workforce in my region. The govt is going to be paying us unemployment soon anyways, why not give them a stake and keep working?

Bc this is the USA and we shouldn’t have state run companies.
There are a great many shale players that have been unprofitable for the last 3-4 yrs, there is little hope they ever turn things around. Let the industry naturally consolidate so it’s healthier in the long run.
