Last I checked Houston is in the southeastern part of Texas. Stalking profiles is cute pal. Damn did you lose your virginity in DC or something? Defending it so hard.
Really stalking your profile hard when it's literally on the left side of the screen? So what BFE suburb are you in? Fulshear? Katy? Humble?

Not in any of those burbs but those definitely aren’t BFE. Man you really don’t know what BFE is if that’s what comes to mind for you.
Apparently not only are you a DC gagger you also are a Houston city limits gate keeper. “Meh Katy isn’t Houston. It’s Katy”. Yep sure man whatever you say. DC is so great. Keep fighting the good fight. Go USA

Seems like I hit a nerve. DC IS great, if you ever make it out of "Houston" for a visit let me know and we can grab a beer.

I’m the one who struck a nerve with you. You’re the one who came to my thread spewing your bullshite. Nobody asked you to come on this hypothetical thread and turn it to a Dc appreciation thread.

That’s what I thought. I’d have a stick up my arse too if Oklahoma were my team.

US capital where would you move it?
I'd keep the capitol in DC, but if I had to move it.....probably St. Louis - centrally located big city, fairly cheap to live, and could use the reinvestment from a bunch of federal employees. I'd also consider Memphis, Kansas City, or Tulsa for the same reasons.
What we should seriously do is spread out almost every executive organization to state capital cities and mid sized metros across the country. Like the FBI would move to Memphis, FAA would go to Kansas City, EPA would go to Baton Rouge (for kicks), the CIA would enjoy Little Rock, Kansas City would be home to Dept of Ag, Dept of Energy would be in Jackson, GSA would be in Sacramento, SSA would be in Spokane, DHS would be in Columbus, and Tulsa would host the Dept of Interior.
I'd even give them a budget to temporarily lease space until they could construct their own digs away from DC.
There are about 100 other executive offices with 50-1,500 employees that we could spread across the country to lower costs of living areas - some of which are struggling for jobs. And a lot of their employees would voluntarily quit before they had to move - so win win for the taxpayer.

Afghanistan. Nearly half of Congress wishes they were there anyway.

and many could make a case for Houston being more of a recognizable place across the world than DC.
That is one of the more rediculous statements I have read lately. I have plenty of friends across the world and I guarantee you they know a lot more about DC, NYC and L.A. than they do Houston. The capitals of most countries are the first city most think about when ask to name a city in another country.

If you could move the US capital to any other US city, which would you pick and why?
For me, I think I’m going with Fort Worth Texas. Perfect central location with mild winters. This would give equal representation for the country instead of it just being centered around the East Coast.
Ft. Worth is too congested. There are plenty of places south of the DFW metroplex that are a lot more wide open.
Actually, north of San Antonio, directly west of Waco, south of Abilene. Lots of wide open space in that area, and still close to several major airports.

I agree. Foreigners are going to know a lot more about DC, NYC, LA, Las Vegas and Orlando than Houston.
