I knew it was in trouble, my son's senior year (class of 2020). When I asked his friends if any of them were going into the service, they all responded that the military is for the purple hairs and the gays.

That was Walker High School in Livingston Parish.

How could the Army lose a feeder Parish like Livingston?

Not confused about the existence of the perception. Confused why it exists. It's a shame because military service members don't deserve it. They already get shite on and hated by liberals. Now conservatives support is faltering. No wonder recruiting sucks. But most service members are not figs, or trannies, or woke freaks. They're just people like you and me trying to make a life in this world and do the right thing for their country.

There is always a shitty enough place somewhere in the US to encourage USMC enlistment.

I do know one kid in WBR that is in the USMC feeder program to enlist when he graduates, but he's the only one he knows of in the town.

I was in 12 years. I'd physically fight my boy if he tried to join. That's a hard no. Go to trade school

Nothing about using OnlyFans to raise money for your army being annihilated?

Is any countries military ready for large scale combat operations though? It’s been so long since anyone has fought a real war, that I don’t know if anyone has a military that’s truly ready for large scale war.

Truthfully, no one in their right minds would fight a symmetrical war against the US military. It would be suicide. Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan are the new normal for engagements, not Desert Storm. Having to do more with less may be a blessing in disguise.

The powers that be want to have it both ways. They want to train to fight a conventional war, and defend against unconventional tactics (terrorism, cyber, etc.).

Also, the threat of nukes has really taken a grand scale war off of the table between nuclear powers. With that knowledge, I get why it was so important for countries like Iran and North Korea to develop nukes.

The US isn’t losing 3000 a day in a conflict.

Not to Russia. We would video game win it
