quote:
Please pray his heart and body stay strong throughout the surgery, for his complete recovery, for the surgeon, nurses and all medical staff attending him, that they are able to remove the entire mass and for peace and comfort for his parents and siblings.
quote:
ALMIGHTY God, we entrust all who are dear to us to thy never-failing care and love, for this life and the life to come; knowing that thou art doing for them better things than we can desire or pray for; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
O Merciful God, giver of life and health; Bless, we pray thee, thy servant, J, and those who administer to him of thy healing gifts; that he may be restored to health of body and of mind; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
ALMIGHTY God our heavenly Father, we beseech thee graciously to comfort thy servant J in his suffering, and to bless the means made use of for his cure. Fill his heart with confidence, that though he be sometime afraid, he yet may put his trust in thee; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

quote:Regarding the brain and a tumor. I have seen MRI's be wrong with one of my children. So I was truly hoping & praying hard-- the headaches & vomiting were a flu/covid thing.
My first prayer is that this mass has somehow completely disappeared.
quote:Will send in rosary prayer request now.
J will have surgery this morning at 7:30 am to remove the mass from his brain! Surgery is expected to last about 8 hours.
Please pray his heart and body stay strong throughout the surgery, for his complete recovery, for the surgeon, nurses and all medical staff attending him, that they are able to remove the entire mass and for peace and comfort for his parents and siblings.
Thanks, again, for your continued thoughts and prayers. They uplift us all.
This is grand news that it is operable!

Dr. said they got 98% of it. Left a small piece he called carpet. This way he did not have to mess with the brain. They should have results and a treatment plan when the neurologist and oncologist meet again next Thursday. He will have another MRI in the morning to make sure they got what they went in for. At that point they will take the drain out of his head and close it up so he does not get an infection. Praise God this is all wonderful news so far!!

I'm happy to hear the results of J's surgery. Hope he makes a quick and complete recovery and is playing with his Xbox soon.
Have they determined whether the mass is benign or malignant yet?
