Pray to St. Jude of Impossible Cases and Miraculous infant Jesus. May God be with him and comfort him and your family. Amen.

Have they determined whether the mass is benign or malignant yet?
No. Neurologist and oncologist meet next Thursday, I presume with those results.

Good luck to him. I hope everything went smoothly with his surgery, has no complications, and he gets the best possible news on Thursday.

And used the Gamma Knife to zap it

I'm glad to hear he remained stable throughout the surgery, and it went well. Have been praying for him and his parents since your original post, and will continue. Thanks for keeping us updated.

A few of you have asked for an update in other threads so thought I would post here.
First, thanks so much to those of you who’ve remembered this sweet boy and kept him in your thoughts and prayers. I can’t begin to explain how much it means knowing that he’s lifted up by so many. Our family has faced another emergency this month and have been scrambling to surround all in love, encouragement and prayer so the prayers of any and all are deeply felt and appreciated.
Since the last update, pathology reports indicate J has stage 1 medulloblastoma. He will still need to endure chemo but there is a big possibility that he can avoid radiation!
There is a chance they will go back in a remove more of what was left behind in the last surgery. Apparently, there was more left behind than they believed last time because his brain was so swollen. It was hidden by the swelling but showed later on the mri.
We will know more next week.
Thanks again and please keep your love and prayers coming!

A quick google search shows medullablastoma has a great prognosis especially stage 1. Thank you for modern medicine!!! Your family is my thought, he’s got this!
