I had this last month. Lasted more than 2 weeks and 2 rounds of antibiotics and steroids. Turned into Pneumonia. The amount of gunk I coughed up over 3 weeks was amazing.

Had it last week, and I was miserable for 48 hours, but it went away just as fast as it arrived

frick that. Their immune systems are all shite from being locked and masked up for so long.

My kids went to daycare all through covid and didn't wear masks. We all have the flu right now. Sometimes outbreaks just happen. Y'all are acting like this never happened before covid. Schools routinely closed for flu before covid. It will happen after covid, too.

Did they run a respiratory panel on him? If so do you know what targets were on the panel? We are running 20-30 a day for a pediatric clinic and coming up with a few targets. Waiting on a few organisms to grow to figure out what antibiotic to use. If he likely has a virus but the panel should be comprehensive enough to find which one.

Right. I’m not disagreeing but this isn’t the flu or Covid which is why I asked if anyone else had this shite and how long it lasts.

Got tested for all viruses and came up negative. Symptoms are high fever, coughing, body aches and puking. Basically flu symptoms but not flu. Just seeing if anyone else has this and how long did it last.

Very similar here in Georgia. Like half the school is out with the same symptoms. I’ve had a staff member out for a week with it. Whatever it is, it’s rough.

Likely rsv, tested too soon

My 5yr old was sick same way last month. We tested day he got symotoms. Negative for everything. Then 2 days later every single kid in his class tested positive for rsv, so i know he had it. Or MD said he just tested too early. Got over it in a week.

Then 2 weeks later he got the flu.

Then a week later a major sinus infection

Been a fun start to yr. We have stayed at the doctor

lsunurse said make sure to get boosted, and you wouldn't have this RSV.

maybe but we had RSV in the house about 3 weeks ago. I guess it is possible to happen again in a short amount but most teenagers don’t get but a cold with RSV.

I’ve had a sore throat the past two days that I’m hoping is nothing big. I’m pretty busy these days.

My 6 y/o and 2 y/o both have flu a. They were acting really sick for about 24 hours and then were bouncing off the walls the next day. Can’t wait till they can go back to daycare and school tomorrow.

Getting boosted is why everyone is getting sick----everyone i know who is sick got the jab----the jab has compromised their immune system

I think this is what I’ve landed as of this morning. Hopefully I’ve got a 48 / 72 hour version.
